Skin Resurfacing

overview:

Laser skin resurfacing uses fractional laser energy to precisely remove the damaged outer layers of skin while simultaneously delivering controlled heat into the deeper dermis — stimulating a powerful collagen remodelling response. This dual action addresses both the surface appearance of the skin and its underlying structural integrity, delivering results comparable in impact to surgical procedures but without the associated risks.

What makes it different:

Fractional technology means that the laser treats thousands of microscopic columns within the skin while leaving the surrounding tissue intact — dramatically accelerating healing compared to traditional ablative laser resurfacing. Your practitioner will select the appropriate laser settings and treatment depth based on your skin's specific concerns, tolerance, and the amount of downtime you are able to accommodate.

What to expect:

A topical numbing cream is applied and left for 30 to 45 minutes before treatment begins. During treatment you may feel a warm, prickling sensation and hear a light crackling sound. Immediately after, the skin will appear red and feel warm — similar to moderate sunburn. This typically peaks at 24 to 48 hours and gradually subsides over 3 to 7 days as the skin heals and resurfaces.

Suitable for:

Adults with fine lines, deep wrinkles, acne scarring, sun damage, uneven texture, or skin laxity. A consultation is required to assess suitability.

Results:

Significant improvement in skin texture, tone, firmness, and the appearance of lines, scars, and sun damage — visible once the skin has fully healed, usually within 1 to 2 weeks. Results continue to improve for up to 6 months as collagen remodelling progresses.

Duration:

45 – 90 minutes
